The more people that sign the petition the more impact it will have so please share this link with your family and friends https://www.change.org/Burlington2025

The mayor released her proposed budget on October 25th. Page 17 – the “Net City Tax Levy” is increasing by 8.3%. Page 27 – Burlington’s portion of our tax bill will increase by 7.5%.

The bottom line is that the City of Burlington is planning to spend 8.3% more money in 2025 and taxpayers will see line 1 of their tax bill, the Burlington line, increase by 7.5%. Burlington is growing and new homes and condos will be making up the difference between the increase in spending and the increase in taxation on existing home taxpayers.

Thank you to the 1,192 people who have signed the petition to date.
